Welcome to F@SH (Friends at Surrey Hills School)
What is F@SH?
F@SH is a registered charity which raises money to directly support our children’s school.
Who’s in F@SH?
All parents and carers of children at Surrey Hills All Saints Primary School are automatically a member of F@SH. You can get involved by coming along to our meetings, help on a stall for an event, bake a cake or do something else that helps raise money for the school. We also involve the school governors, teachers and wider community members.
What does F@SH do?
We organise fundraising events and activities, which not only help to raise vital funds to support the school and advance the extra-curricular, cultural and social development of our children. It is also a great opportunity for the parents, teachers and friends of the school to get to know each other and raise funds, all for a good cause!
What have F@SH done?
Some of the events we run include the hugely popular Teddy Bears Picnic held at the Abinger Hammer Stream, Christmas Fair and the School Disco. Funds raised from these events have supported the school in purchasing tablets for IT, sports equipment, books and art, music and cultural workshops, which all enhance your child’s experience at school.
F@SH contributed over £10K to Surrey Hills Primary School last year (2017-2018). This included £4.5K on Canopies at the Abinger site to allow the children to learn outside whatever the weather, £1500 for an outdoor table tennis table at Westcott site, and most recently £2.9K on a woodland staging for Abinger children to perform to their friends.
We also paid for an entertaining Science Boffins assembly, fab Maths workshop and coaches for our year 5/6 children to go on an amazing trip to enhance their learning experience.
Our full accounts for 2017-2018 can be viewed below.
We take this opportunity to welcome you to our next meeting!

Teddy Bears Picnic - Abinger Hammer stream
The Teddy Bears Picnic is held at the Abinger Hammer stream on the first May bank holiday every year.
This historical event has been going for more than 30 years and F@SH have been involved for the last six years.
The Teddy Bears Picnic is F@SH’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It makes more than half of the annual funds raised by F@SH in this one event. Therefore, it is imperative that we get as many of our school community donating, helping on the day and attending as possible.
On the day there are lots of attractions for the entire family. Favourites include, the teddy bear competition, coconut shy, duck races, bouncy castles, children and adults tombola and lots of games to keep the older children busy.
