We have had a very exciting start to our learning theme, ‘British Wildlife’. We went on a trip to Sayers Croft to learn about all the different animals we can find here, what they eat and where they live.

Our trip inspired us to read a story, called ‘After the Storm’, about some of the animals we saw that day. We really enjoyed this story, especially the ending…the animals built themselves a brand new home and it was a gigantic treehouse! Last week we acted out the story and wrote sentences to retell the story in our own words.

We have also been thinking about other living things, including plants. We planned an investigation to find out about how plants grow and what is best to help them grow.  This week we are going to be planting our seeds to start carrying out our test.
