On Friday 7th September KS1 had an exciting start to their learning theme. Years 1 and 2 spent the first day of school creating Tudor houses and buildings to create their own city of London and were introduced to the Great Fire of London. Fire fighters from North Holmwood came to visit us to recreate the Great Fire. The children were able to share all their knowledge and thought of questions they could ask to find out more. To finish off, the fire fighters showed us their fire engine and all the special tools they use to save lives! The children absolutely loved the experience and the fire service were very impressed by the children's confidence, enthusiasm and understanding of an event that took place such a long time ago.
