Trip to the Natural History Museum
On Wednesday 16th January, years 5 and 6 had a wonderful trip to London. After a relaxing train journey and the excitement of the tube, 77 children (and 18 adults!) arrived safely. During the day we took part in an evolution workshop which included how better evolved animals survived. Lots of time was spent exploring the incredible galleries before our return journey. Many thanks to all the parent volunteers and well done to all the children who behaved brilliantly and were a credit to Surrey Hills.
“We loved seeing all the animals up close and were amazed at the size of the blue whale.” (Lucy and Eloise – Moles Class)
“I found it fascinating seeing all the animals’ bones and so many fossils.” (Daniel – Badgers Class)
“I enjoyed learning about the evolution of the horse. How it used to have four toes and be really tiny!” (Ruby – Foxes Class)
